The first one I would like to mention and talk about is Saying Goodbye, which is part of the Mariposa Trust.
The Mariposa Trust is the umbrella charity; with Saying Goodbye being the primary division (out of 6) and is the one that is the closest to my heart, having become such an important charity to me personally. It was founded and set up by a wonderful lady and her husband; Zoe and Andy Clark-Coates who have themselves experienced several baby losses.
I love how they have used their experience to support and guide others, and now provide this global charity supporting and walking with those going through the loss of a baby or child and all that it brings.
For me personally, this charity means so much today because of the personal support I have had from Zoe. Her words, her books and her personal support. I am so grateful for her and for everything this charity does and offers.
The next charity I would like to mention is called 4Louis. This is a UK Charity working across the country supporting anyone affected by baby loss; like Saying Goodbye, whether this be miscarriage, still birth and the death of a baby or child.
$Louis was founded in 2009 by Louis' family who discovered that there was very little access to support following Louis' stillbirth and it is from this charity that we received our own Memory Box for Summer. This charity means a lot to me because of that Memory Box. It is now one of my most prized possessions and brings great comfort to me and helps me to think about my Summer and treasure the items inside it. It is that valuable and means that much to me that Rich and I have made the decision to donate a few 4Louis Memory Boxes ourselves throughout the year; starting at Christmas this year. If we can contribute to another family being comforted in the same way by this charity and this box as we were, then we will.
Finally, I will just mention these last 2 charities that again, have been a part of my journey and have been a support to me in some way.
These are Tommy's and Sands. Both of these are huge baby loss charities in the UK, again providing support to those experiencing loss, providing research and working hard to provide more support, the support that is needed; rather than the support that is currently provided.
Although Saying Goodbye and 4Louis are the main 2 that are closest to my heart, all 4 of these charities that I have mentioned I am extremely grateful for and don't know where I would be without.
I know there will be many more out there, but it is these 4 that are the ones where I have managed to get the support that I have needed from primarily.
